One Pilgrimage: Two Options
1 Week: October 4-13, 2025 (Walk from Siena to Lake Bolsena then bus/walk into Rome)
2-Weeks: Oct 4-19, 2025 (Walk from Siena to Rome)
2-Weeks: Oct 4-19, 2025 (Walk from Siena to Rome)
What's the Focus
The focus of this pilgrimage is to participate in the year of Jubilee by walking sections of the Via Francigena between Siena and Rome in order to have meaningful interactions with other pilgrims.
The roots of Jubilee go back to when the nation of Israel was being formed and represented a fresh start for all, especially for those who had fallen into poverty or slavery. The return of land to its original owners was a key feature of the Jubilee, ensuring no family would permanently lose their inheritance due to misfortune. This concept also extended to the release of slaves and the forgiveness of debts, which were seen as expressions of God's mercy & justice. Jesus' announcement in Luke 4, quoting Isaiah, that "the Spirit of the Lord is upon me" and proclaiming freedom for prisoners, sight for the blind, and release for the oppressed, brings the Jubilee into the realm of spiritual liberation. Through daily walks totaling 222 km (145 miles over 11 days, or 72 miles over 5.5 days), we'll be building relationships with other pilgrims to listen to their stories and to share our own. Because everyone is in need of a fresh start. |

I've been leading pilgrimages for the past 5 years. It's hard to put into words the beauty of the Italian landscape and the richness of the cuisine and culture. I'm excited to see how we can journey with other pilgrims who are seeking a fresh start.

I lived in Florence for over 12 years with my family, raising two sons and learning the language and culture. I love walking the VF, cooking Italian food, tasting new wines, and witnessing how God reveals himself to those who are seeking Him.
